Homemade Pumpkin Latte With Turmeric (I Now Can't Live Without)
Posted by JQ on Dec 1st 2019
All you'll need for this yummy healthy drink is a hand mixer or frothier, non-dairy milk, pumpkin puree and spices! If you're a coffee drinker, you can add coffee in, too.
Most of the time latte recipes are too advanced for me and my kitchen when I find them online. Unfortunately, I'm a bit impatient too. The most recent pumpkin latte recipe I found was still a bit too involved for the common person (me!!) so I decided to experiment and simplify it. This is what I got - a yummy, healthier version of a latte in only a few minutes. Success!
This is how I did it!
Instructions: In a cup, mix in 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree and a dash of turmeric, cinnamon and nutmeg to taste. If you'd like, you can add a sweetened, non-dairy coffee cream or other sweetener in at this time (avoid artificial sweeteners if possible). Wisk the mixture around very well until it's smooth. Separately, you'll want to froth your almond milk (or milk of choice). If you don't have a machine, you can use a hand mixer, but you'll need to heat your milk up alternatively on the stove or microwave. Once milk is frothed, you can add in your puree mixture, stir and enjoy! If you want to add coffee, this is the time to add it in.
I hope you like it! Would love to know what you think in the comment section below.
