The Facial Devices I’m Loving in My 40s for Glow, Lift and Calm Skin

Ciao, Beautiful!

If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, both as a licensed esthetician and as a woman with sensitive, ever-changing skin – it’s this.

Sometimes the simplest, gentlest tools can deliver the biggest improvements when you use them consistently. That’s exactly why I’ve been reaching for my favorite facial devices lately, and why I’ve created several new YouTube videos showing you exactly how I use them.

Today, I want to walk you through the modalities I love the most right now. If your skin has been feeling reactive, puffy, tired, dull or just “not like itself,” these can make such a difference. And the best part is that they’re affordable alternatives to spa treatments and doctor visits, especially when you’re choosing options that work with your lifestyle.

Let’s get into it.

Before that, if you’re dealing with flares, dryness, irritation, or autoimmune-related skin changes, I made you something special. You can download my free Glow Back Skin Recovery Guide. I created it for women who need real support, real routines and real solutions that don’t overwhelm the skin.

Now let’s talk devices.

LED light therapy is a winner in my book and I'll tell you why. It’s gentle, it’s safe, and it works beautifully over time. Red light helps soften the appearance of fine lines and support collagen. Blue light is wonderful for calming breakouts, reducing bacteria on the skin and soothing inflammation when you’re too sensitive for strong topicals. When my skin is temperamental, LED is often the first thing I reach for.

Microcurrent is another favorite, especially for my over-40 beauties because it can grant you a more lifted look without needles. I always call microcurrent a more affordable alternative to Botox because it helps train and tone your facial muscles, giving you a naturally sculpted look with consistent use. It’s subtle but powerful, and when paired with the right serums or conductive gels, it helps everything glide onto the skin more smoothly.

Facial massage has been with me for years. Growing up in my mama’s beauty shop, I learned early on that our hands are sometimes our best tools. Whether you prefer a gua sha, a roller, or just your fingertips, facial massage helps soften tension, improve circulation and bring life back into dull, tired skin. In my new Youtube videos, I walk you through some simple movements you can use daily, even if you’re pressed for time.

Cooling devices are an affordable and easy self-care ritual for skin. They help with puffiness, soothe irritation and instantly refresh tired eyes. If you wake up looking a little more swollen than you’d like or you’re dealing with heat-triggered redness, a cooled tool can give you immediate relief.

On the opposite side, thermal modes are wonderful for helping to soften pores and encourage product penetration. If you love a deeper clean or want your serums to work a bit harder for you, warming tools can be a lovely addition.

All of these devices have one thing in common. They help maintain your results when paired with the right topicals. In my YouTube demos, I show you how these devices fit into real routines with real products, including my Whipped Olive Oil Face Butter. Some nights, a quick facial massage with your hands and good moisturizer is the only “device” you need. Just ask my mama, who swears by applying her butter every morning and night, no matter what.

If there’s one thing I want you to take away from this, it’s that devices don’t work if you’re not consistent and results may vary from person to person (this is not medical advice).

But consistency doesn’t have to be complicated. Choose the modality that feels right for your skin, your energy and your lifestyle. Even five minutes of intentional care can go a long way.

I hope this inspires you to explore what feels good for your skin and to know that real results come from showing up for yourself, even in the smallest ways.

Remember, the more you know, the more you glow.

xoxo
