What I Learned the Hard Way About Beauty (So You Don’t Have To)

Hey Beautiful! 

By now you probably already know, I'm the creator of our restorative beauty brand that I run with my partner, Alex, who’s from Italy. Together, we bring in extra virgin olive oil from our family farm in Puglia and infuse it into our butters, crafting skincare that nourishes from the inside out.

But my journey here wasn’t a straight path.

I never quite fit into the mold growing up. What a lot of people don't know about me is that I dropped out of high school because I felt like I didn’t belong, so at 17, I went straight to work—determined to make my own way.

That said, beauty was always in my blood. My mother was a cosmetologist for over 50 years, and I grew up with a beauty shop right inside our country home. From an early age, I watched women come and go, witnessing the transformation that took place—not just on the outside, but in their confidence. So in many ways, I was never a stranger to the world of beauty.

I found my passion in makeup, working as an artist for nearly a decade before getting my esthetics license. But my “aha” moment came the day I met Courtney, a 35-year-old mom of two young girls who had just been diagnosed with breast cancer. She was my first facial client at a high end spa and gym that morning, and she had just had a port placed in her chest for medical treatment.

She lay on my table, vulnerable but determined, and asked if she could contact me later for makeup tips—something to help her feel like herself again after losing her hair. In that moment, I realized beauty wasn’t just about the surface. It was about restoration, confidence, and healing. That’s when I knew I had to create something deeper.

Around that time, I met Alex. He was running a boutique in Austin, selling women's clothes and local art. Our worlds blended beautifully, and we decided to merge our creative visions. We built a beauty business together, running a brick-and-mortar store for years before realizing our mission was bigger—we wanted to serve women on a larger scale. So, we took our business online, bringing our restorative skincare to women everywhere.

Now, everything we create is infused with purpose and passion—just like our skincare is infused with the finest EVOO from our family farm in Italy. My mission is to help women, especially those navigating aging, to feel radiant, confident, and truly at home in their skin.
