2 Best Anti-Agers For Women Over 40

Hey Beautiful!
It's about time we have with some over 40 real talk when it comes to anti-aging.
With so many products and ingredients on the market it can be hard to decipher between what's real and marketing fiction.
Using my 20+ years of makeup and skincare experience, I focus on helping women over 40 restore their skin.
A huge part of restoring skin has to do with balance, because if the skin isn't happy and balanced, then everything else you do doesn't matter that much. I always compare it to running on a hamster wheel. You're no doubt running, and fast we can appreciate -- but you're not going to get anywhere because you'll always been in a "repair" state.
One of the biggest ways you can fix your skin is to understand what ingredients do what... and believe me when I say-- in your 40's it's a whole new ball game, whether you buy a ticket or not.
Your biggest anti-aging ingredient will hands down always be wearing SPF, but these two results-oriented skincare staples will make sure you're getting the most out of your routine (once you have down the essentials)!
1) During the day, using a serum with Hyaluronic Acid brings water to the cells of your skin and helps you retain it.
When you couple it with Vitamin C, a powerhouse anti-oxidant, you elevate your routine.
2) Using a night cream or serum with Retinol at night is ideal because your skin can become sensitive to the sun with exfoliating agents, especially if you forget to wear sunscreen.
Retinol has a progressive exfoliating effect on the skin, so the longer you use it the better results you'll have.
Pro tip! Apply your serum(s) under your moisturizer, since serums generally have a small molecular size that can penetrate more deeply and avoid "mixing" so that you don't decrease the efficacy of your favorite products!
Besides Vitamin C, other antioxidants like vitamin B5 also neutralize free radicals, preventing damage to healthy skin cells.
Bonus tip! Products with ingredients containing humectants and B3 (Niacinamide) are great for sensitive and acne prone skin while B5 can be most helpful for normal-dry skin.
Retinoids, which have been studied over 50 years along with peptides are used to progressively exfoliate dead skin cells, and stimulate collagen production, which is essential to prevent pre-mature aging.
While there's no magical or quick fix solution, these are pretty cool tried and true options, right?
I think so, too.
Remember, the more you know the more you glow!
With love & appreciation,
