Hey Beautiful!

Let's talk about your skin and how you can calm it down for over-all skin health and balance from the inside out!

Kris Carr was ahead of her time when she made self-discoveries in her documentary, Crazy, Sexy, Cancer.

Soon after her success, she wrote a booked called Crazy Sexy Diet, which was eye opening for me at the time.

Beauty foods are really just HEALTHY foods, but these aids (listed below) particularly focus on the over-all health of our largest organ -  your skin!

Any skin issues and all diseases have underlying inflammatory issues so including anti-inflammatory foods and products on a regular basis is a good way to help you achieve your over all skincare goals!

One of my favorite anti-inflammatory products to apply topically is Aloe, as you may have suspected already since I use it in so many of our creations, like our Immortality Aloe Mask and Whipped Olive Oil Face Butter.

Assuming you don't have a food sensitivity to any of the below recommendations, these can be great assets to add to your anti-inflammatory diet!

Some of my favorite anti-inflammatory foods include sweet potatoes, berries and avocados!

Berries are fun because they're so versatile and are wonderful antioxidants (aka anti-aging) agents that help neutralize free radicals. Talk about a powerhouse superfood!

Wild Blueberries are my favorite superfood when it comes to antioxidants!

Topically, you can neutralize free radicals by using high quality and stable Vitamin C Serums, like our Vitamin C + Correcting Serum!

There are many antioxidants that are beneficial for our skin, but I love ones that have been studied for years, like Vitamin C and Retinol, which is why we love our Advanced Retinol Night Cream for all things anti-aging!

Don't forget about omegas, which are wonderful for your skin, eyes, hair and joints.

If you don't want to eat meat (which can also be inflammatory) or take wild caught fish oil supplements, try adding ground flax seeds and walnuts into your diet on a daily basis.

The amount of what you eat is always important so doses do matter, but eating a healthy anti-inflammatory diet will start you on a great path towards healing, regardless!

You can also apply your omegas topically, since we lose these essential fatty acids as we age, too.

Our QUINNtessential Glow Oil is fantastic for bring back life to your dull, dry skin!

Smoothies or juices are another great way to get those nutrients and foods you may not get on a daily basis.
