I remember quitting smoking in my 20's... then I remember quitting again.. and again. It occurred to me while I was waiting tables in a bar (true story!) that I REALLY didn't want to die of lung cancer, or anything else smoking could give me, so I sat down my half smoked pack of cigarettes and made a commitment to myself. It was now or never, I thought.

That mentality has stuck with me until this day - and in my 40's - because it works. If you're waiting on the new year to give you an opportunity to do something, then you're probably just procrastinating. And you're not alone...
