The Skin Secret No One Is Telling You About

Hey Beautiful!

This year’s been a stinker, so stress has been a bit unavoidable and relentless at times, but the good news is there’s some easy things you can do to reduce some of the stress it's given us and start the new year out with more of a rested body, mind and yes — glow!

Here’s a little skin secret no one is telling you about because it’s too easy!

You may have heard of “Adaptogens” by now with the increase of their popularity, but they've been used for centuries in Ayurvedic practices.

Simply put, adaptogens are a group of safe and non-toxic herbs, plants, and mushrooms used to help the body to reduce stress when taken orally.

It's probably no surprise to hear that stress is one of the number one contributors to skin issues, as it instigates inflammatory skin responses and conditions, such as acne, rosacea, and a myriad of other mysterious rashes.

Some of my favorite types of adaptogens to take internally are Turmeric, and Ashwagandha.

But did you know that there's benefits to using these topically, too?

That's why we've created a large majority of our base formulations with adaptogens, like our Whipped Face Butter,  Immortality Aloe Mask, and organic foundations that all contain aloe as the first ingredient, and our Radiant Root Mask that uses the adaptogen, Turmeric!

By far, my favorite product to take orally has been the Adrenal Soothe (I’m not an affiliate!) that my IHP, Larissa Ness turned me onto which contains ashwaghanda among other adaptogens.

I take it at night because it helps me seep into relaxation - so much so that I don’t have to rely on my hemp oil anymore, and I’m sleeping better than I’ve ever slept (ok, maybe a small % of that is because of my new weighted blanket too — hahah — I’m obsessed).

Recently I learned that Ashwagandha works as a natural anti-histamine, too, so win-win if you live in climates with lots of allergens, like we do in ATX!

Cheers to being more proactive with your health in 2021 with me, to reducing your stress, and restoring your skin!

I love being at your service and I’m so honored you give me the chance to every day!

Remember, start where you are.  The more you know, the more you glow!

With lots of love — happy new year!
