Exfoliating Secrets For More Youthful Eyes and Skin

Exfoliating Secrets For More Youthful Eyes and Skin

Hey Beautiful!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today I'm going to share with you a couple of sweet secrets you probably don't know about exfoliation.

But first --

We know that pictures speak louder than words, so here's a recent before/after picture of one of my long-time clients, Teresa. FYI - This was her first facial in over 3 months!

As you can see from the first image, her skin was a bit dry and dull due to dead skin build up.

This is totally common, because as we age our cell rate turn over slows down and we lose collagen and elastin.

Not exfoliating your face leads to more buildup and dullness and not exfoliating around your eye area can lead to stubborn milia.

That's why proper exfoliation on your face AND underneath your eye area is so essential!

As you can see, after a customized treatment that included enzyme exfoliation, extractions, our brightening and clarifying Radiant Root Mask mixed with our calming Immortality (aloe-based) Mask and hydrating finishing products, including our Hyaluronic Acid Serum, her skin is glowing again!

When treating your face and under eye area at home, we recommend using our Brighten and Reveal Exfoliating Pads 2-3 times a week to ensure proper exfoliation.

The reason exfoliation is so important and really The Secret to a more youthful and results-oriented routine is that if you're not exfoliating properly nothing else will work the way it's intended to because your products won't be able to penetrate as well.

But there's another secret about HA that I'll get to in a second.

Think of it this way -- if you're applying your good, and often expensive, products on top of dead skin build up then what's the point, right? You're likely just wasting your time and money.

But here's something you probably don't know about exfoliation -- the other secret --  not only does exfoliation help stimulate collagen but it also helps your body stimulate its own ability to produce Hyaluronic Acid.

Some doctors suggest that drinking bone broth may also help your body produce its own Collagen and HA, too!

Hyaluronic Acid occurs naturally within our dermis but we tend to lose HA as we age. Without ample HA, you may suffer from uncomfortably dry skin and this may lead to other undesirable conditions like crepey-ness or even sensitized skin.

And in case you're wondering, the same applies to your entire BODY! Show it some love to by exfoliating and moisturizing regularly with the right, nourishing ingredients (especially during the winter months).

Remember, the more you know the more you glow!

With love,

Jentri
