How To Make Your Aging Skin Glow!

How To Make Your Aging Skin Glow!

Hey Beautiful!

Are you tired of using beauty products that claim to work miracles but never seem to deliver?

To avoid the pitfalls of misleading marketing, look for these key ingredients I’m sharing with you today, instead!

What you may not know about me is that I’m a second generation beauty professional who’s been in the business for 25+ years helping women restore their skin.

What I’ve learned as a licensed esthetician, especially, is that you shouldn’t be put under the same umbrella as everyone else and I'll explain why.

As we age, it’s true that our skin requires extra care and attention to look its most radiant and healthy. What no one tells you though is that it’s normal for your glow to be different from someone else’s glow because there’s so many variables, so expectations are important. That’s the beauty of truly being your most authentic and beautiful self. No one else has lived your life or has your story.

That’s why we've developed specially formulated beauty products designed specifically for mature, sensitive, compromised skin.

Ingredients that are particularly beneficial for mature skin will reflect changes in our skin, such as a loss of Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen or even hormonal changes that make your skin more sensitive. It’s important to note that while collagen has benefits when applied topically, its main job doesn’t actually produce collagen. Other ingredients however, like Retinol, do. More on this point in a second.

Products that worked for you in your 20s will no longer serve you well in your 40's and beyond.

Your skin’s been lived in, you’re wiser, and you’ve earned every wrinkle on your beautiful face. But that doesn’t mean that your skin can’t affect your self confidence. Both can be true at the same time. You shouldn’t be excluded from protecting, correcting or treating your skin the way you want if it makes you feel good!

In fact, many women I treat talk more about the way their skin feels than the way it looks. I find the two are not mutually exclusive. They’re often intertwined because when your skin isn’t feeling good there’s usually a reason for that and it affects the look of your skin, too, such as visible dryness, dehydration, flakiness and creepiness. These conditions can make your skin feel tighter (not in a good way), drier, flakey or appear chalky. When sensitized, it can lead to burning, itching, redness, breakouts or just feel uncomfortable.

Our products are packed with powerful ingredients that work synergistically to address common skin concerns associated with skin challenges, such as fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of elasticity.

We know that as your skin changes your skincare products need to change, too. That’s why our formulas include nourishing butters, vitamins and antioxidants that work to hydrate and protect your skin, leaving you with a smoother, more radiant complexion.

A good moisturizer is often overlooked or not communicated as much because it's not as sexy of a marketing product. I'd argue to say that after 40, moisturizer is your best friend, along withSPFduring the day to help prevent damage. That's because we lose oil and Hyaluronic Acid as we age, and also become more at risk of TEWL (water loss).

The best anti-aging ingredients to look for after 40 are humectants, that plump and hydrate, like Aloe, Hyaluronic Acid and Glycerin along with nourishing oils and butters to help lock in your moisture, like Olive Oil, Shea Butter and Coconut Oil.

Same goes for your eye area care.

After 40, your routine should also include good exfoliating products with AHA's (a few times a week) and Retinol (with consistency), when possible, to help renew your dull skin cells for a healthier glow!

If you're sensitive to Retinol, look for products with peptides. If you're acne prone, look for products with BHA's.

My goal as your beauty BFFL and licensed esthetician is to use my experience to help you reclaim your confidence and feel your very best self again (whatever that may be!) so you can experience the difference for yourself.

Don't let age, or anything else, define your beauty!

Your goals are unique and so are you.

I'll help you restore what's YOURS, my friend.

The more you know the more you glow!
